Glocal compassion is a registered Non-Profit charitable organisation with registration number HRB 174002 in the Federal Republic of Germany.
By mobilizing total resources to better society, Glocal Compassion concretizes love. In this regard, we are prepared and positioned not only to see the suffering and pain of others and the creation but to take the necessary steps to help the situation.
WHO WE ARE
Our Motivation
God is full of compassion (Isaiah 49:15).
God shares this attribute with humans.
Reflecting on the compassionate nature of God to humankind, Jesus had compassion for the people at his time (Matthew14:23-24).
From Jesus’s example, whenever true compassion is at work, lives and societies become better. In Jesus’s ministry, compassion paved way for God’s supply and healing. For when Jesus had compassion for the people, he fed them. When Jesus was moved with compassion, the blind could see. Inspired by the examples of Jesus, Glocal Compassion mobilizes total resources namely educational, spiritual (evangelistic), human and philanthropic resources to better lives and society.
How does Glocal Compassion operate?
Glocal compassion trains people to be involved and engaged in compassionate ministry.
We help people to imagine how the world would be if nobody shows compassion and how the world would be if everybody shows compassion.
We guide people to exercise their roles of compassion in their families, churches, workplace and the society at large.
We help people to rediscover their calling into compassionate ministry. Guided by the holistic nature of compassion and having Christ as our model, Glocal Compassion serves as the head through which Christ leads, a hand through which Christ supports, the heart through which Christ loves and touches lives, the mouth through which Christ speaks and a mind through which Christ educates others.
Where does Glocal Compassion Operate?
Glocal Compassion operates where there are needs, both in the global and local contexts.
As the name suggests, Glocal Compassion in its operation seeks to close the gap between the global and local worlds.
We are wherever concrete needs and hurts are heard, experienced and seen.
Geographically, Glocal Compassion operates in Europe, Germany and Africa, Ghana and intents to reach other parts of the world.
OUR PROJECTS
Glocal Intercultural Ministry
(GLIM)
Glocal Compassion embarks on intercultural project that focuses on learning a new culture through volunteer works and study trips. For students and youths and all who desire to do volunteer work in Ghana or travel to Ghana on a study trip, Glocal compassion is your right partner. In this regard, Glocal compassion organises an online orientation seminar, and thus offer a relevant guide and preparation for the would be travellers.
Glocal Ecclecia
This project is oriented towards creative evangelism, church planting and church growth and development. With regard to evangelism, Glocal Compassion organises annually students outreach programmes. In partnership with Churches, we offer seminars, workshops for Christian leaders and Church workers in areas of Christian Education, development and stewardship and other relevant topics.
Glocal Theological Academy
(GLOTA)
Glocal Compassion collaborates with like minded Christian institutions and organisations to offer ministerial training and leadership developments through an (online) theological training programme. The GLOTA course is designed for all who feel called into Church and Christian related ministry and all who want to develop sound biblical and context-sensitive theological training. The programme aims at giving the student an exposure to sound principles in theological studies, practical skills and other related disciplines required for Christian ministry.
Glocal Alternative
This project aims at motivation and public education. By this project the youth and all are encouraged to impact their generation. The public and all especially in Africa are oriented towards the dynamics of holistic development. Here, in partnership with local governments, Universities and Churches, Glocal Compassion seeks to develop promotional and educative courses and programmes aimed at orientation for holistic developments. Glocal Compassion in this regard intends to launch the projects: Transformation Encounter and Orientation for Development.
Glocal Compassionate Ministry (GLOCOM)
Glocal Compassion mobilizes resources for compassionate ministries in the areas of health, education, orphanages and community services. In the area of health, Glocal Compassion identifies deprived communities in Ghana and offers free medical screenings and where necessary makes philanthropic donations to needy hospitals. In the area of education, Glocal Compassion through our partner institutions identifies the needy but brilliant and talented but obscure children and youth to support them. Glocal Compassion strengthens existing partner orphanages, children's homes and related institutions in Ghana through timely donations of goods and volunteer services.
